Warm Light, Softly Held: Audo's Nonna Table Lamp
There's a particular kind of light that makes a room feel lived in: low, warm and a little forgiving. For Story 15, we return to Audo, first introduced in Story 2 through the Dancing Pendant, with a new arrival that brings exactly that glow to shelves, sideboards and bedside tables: the Nonna Table Lamp.

A glow that settles the room
Nonna pairs a sand-coloured linen and acrylic shade with a sculptural base, creating a warm, softly diffused light that feels both refined and reassuring. It's a modern yet familiar take on timeless design, with a muted, tonal palette carried through to the cord and switch, which are kept discreet to match. Designed by Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen, it's a lamp that's as much about atmosphere as it is about form.
Editor's takeaway
Nonna shows how much a lamp can say through material alone: warm stone or cool brushed metal, softened by a glowing shade of linen.
Stone or metal, the same soft light
In travertine, the base is CNC-cut from natural stone, a warm, tactile material made mainly of calcium carbonate, the same mineral found in marble, with natural patterns and visible pores that give each base its character. In aluminium, the same shade sits on a cool, brushed metal base, a contrast between softness and structure. Either way, the linen and acrylic shade does the same gentle work, diffusing the light into an ambient glow.

Sized for wherever it's needed
The travertine Nonna comes in two sizes. The taller H49 brings a vertical rhythm to shelves and sideboards, while the lower, wider H30 sits easily on consoles, window ledges and smaller surfaces. The aluminium H24, at just 24 cm high, is made for narrow ledges, shelves, bedside tables and windowsills.

The designers behind the glow
Nonna is designed by Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen, the Copenhagen studio founded in 2016 by Mads Sætter-Lassen and Emil Krøyer. Their collaboration began at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, where they completed their BA and then their MA, and it has grown into a practice creating furniture and interior objects for clients around the world. Their honest approach brings together logical, functional and sculptural design with a strong understanding of Danish design heritage, bridging the gap between art and design. A hallmark of their work is letting joints and assemblies show, rather than hiding them.
A glow for the season ahead
As the festive season brings more evenings of gathering, a lamp like Nonna adds a soft pool of light exactly where it's wanted: on a sideboard near the table, a console in the hallway, a windowsill or a bedside table. Warm, low and welcoming, it's the kind of light that invites people to linger.

A lasting idea
Nonna is a reminder that light is a material in its own right. Shaped by stone or metal and softened by linen, it turns a simple lamp into a source of warmth and memory for the home. We're grateful to continue our story with Audo, and to share another chapter in a partnership that brings warmth, craft and lasting design into everyday living.
